24-year-old Nigerian university student becomes a mother of five in Abia State (Photos)

A set of five babies, two boys and three girls, were born to a 24-year-old final year student of the Michael Okpara University of Agriculture (MOUAU), Abia state, Oluomachi Nwoye, at the Federal Medical Centre Umuahia on Monday, October 3.

The quintuplets, who are the first of their kind to be delivered at the medical center, arrived at 9:15 pm.

The two boys are currently under special care at the “in-born unit” of the hospital, according to Vanguard.

Oluomachi’s mother, Mrs. Priscilla Nwojo, expressed her joy and gratitude for the unique blessing of quintuplets. She also appealed to the government and kind-hearted Nigerians to support the family in their time of need.

She said that she is a pap seller and her husband is a tailor. She said that taking care of one baby is hard enough, let alone five.

“I thank God for this special gift. I’m a trader. I deal on pap and my husband is a tailor. We will be happy if Government can come to our help because it’s not easy to take care of one (baby), not to talk of five. But we thank God in everything”. She said.

The father of the quintuplets had not shown up at the hospital as of Tuesday afternoon, October 5.
