RIP Mohbad: Nigerian Music Star Dies of Ear Infection at the age 27, Olamide and Other Celebrities Pay Respect
Nigerian singer, Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, is dead!
According to entertainment journalist Ovie, the 27-year-old Nigerian rapper, singer, and songwriter tragically passed away on Tuesday, September 12, 2023.
However, the cause of his death remains unclear at the time of writing this tragic and unfortunate report.
Before his untimely passing, Mohbad was formerly signed to Naira Marley’s “Marlian Records” but left the label in 2022.
He gained recognition for his hit singles, including “Ponmo,” “Feel Good,” and “KPK (Ko Por Ke),” a collaboration with Rexxie. Notably, the latter track received three nominations at The Headies awards in 2022.

A while back, Bella Shmurda revealed that Mohbad almost committed suicide after his issue with Naira Marley.
Recall that Mohbad came out on social media last October to accuse label boss, Naira Marley of assaulting him and his siblings.
In an interview with media personality, Chude Jideonwo, Bella revealed that Mohbad almost killed himself but his girlfriend walked in at the right moment and saved him.
Bella slammed Naira Marley and his label for pretending that all was well between Mohbad and the management.
He said,
“I don’t have to say this, but I’ll say this. At a point, me and Mohbad we43 in an apartment and Mohbad was like he wants to jump from the upstairs because of this label issue (with Marlian Records). We go hold this boy for window, Mohbad don almost jump, na him girlfriend just enter room see Mohbad sit down for window, because of all these things.
Confirmed. Mohbad is dead.
